DAC Report
A DAC report is a previous-employer-supplied driving history used in trucking driver background checks. It's the industry-standard employment-history doc.
DAC (now operated by HireRight) is the largest trucking employment-history database. Previous carriers report a driver's tenure, eligibility for rehire, separation reason, accidents, and drug/alcohol test results.
Drivers can dispute inaccurate DAC entries under the Fair Credit Reporting Act — carriers must follow strict FCRA notification procedures when an adverse hiring decision is based on the report.
DAC is part of (not a substitute for) FMCSA's required Previous Employer Safety Performance History under Part 391.23.
